Short answer

To find DPF cleaning near you, look for a specialist who diagnoses the cause before cleaning, offers off-vehicle cleaning with flow tests before and after, resets the ECU after refitting and explains what the price includes. Local location guides are listed on this page as they are published.

Location guides

Location guides will be added here region by region. Until then, the checklist on this page will help you choose a DPF specialist wherever you are.

What to ask a DPF cleaning specialist

  • Will you diagnose why the filter blocked before cleaning it?
  • Is the filter cleaned on the vehicle or removed and cleaned off it?
  • Do you flow-test before and after, and can I see the results?
  • Does the price include removal, refitting, gaskets and the ECU reset?
  • What happens if the filter turns out to be cracked or melted?
  • Is there a warranty, and what does it require of me?

Comparing quotes

Compare what is included rather than the headline price. A low price for an on-vehicle clean is not comparable with a full off-vehicle clean with flow testing. See DPF cleaning cost.

Red flags

  • No diagnosis, straight to “you need a new DPF”.
  • Offers to remove or “delete” the DPF. This is illegal for road vehicles in many countries.
  • Vague answers about the cleaning method or no flow test.

Mobile or workshop?

Mobile services can carry out diagnosis, forced regeneration and on-vehicle cleaning at your location. Off-vehicle cleaning needs workshop equipment, though some mobile operators remove the filter and take it to a cleaning facility.
